Here is a hidden gem for you πŸ€©πŸ˜‡In Gordon’s Bay, there is a quaint bookstore called the Bikini Beach Bookstore, located opposite the beach (of course!), that sells a plethora of second hand titles on a variety of subjects. See how cute it is here!

Bikini Beach Bookstore

Randomly enough, it has a car parked on its roof – we really want to understand the logistics of how that was possible πŸ˜‚ so if you know how that happened, please share πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

Pricing from just R15, you can find books on history, fiction, non-fiction, language and all the popular genres today. All the books within the store have their own story being passed from one owner to another as the perfect idiom of knowledge being shared.

As you walk through the aisles, you will hear the wooden floors creak to the sound of you approaching possibly your next book. We have to admit, we kind of got lost in there because there are so many choices and titles about everything.

After buying a title, there are plenty of benches outside of the store or across the street where you can read and enjoy the beautiful scenery and breeze.

Gordon’s Bay is approximately 45-60 mins from CBD and its promenade is probably a good, calmer alternative to the Sea Point Promenade. EnjoyΒ yourΒ nextΒ read!
