The Pipe Track hike to Camps Bay route is the perfect beginner friendly hike for anyone who is keen on getting some good exercise ๐˜ผ๐™‰๐˜ฟ seeing the best views of Cape Townโ€™s beauty; the 12 Apostles, the Atlantic Sea and Lions Head.

๐‡๐ข๐ค๐ž ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ญ: The hike starts on Tafelberg Road, off the main road. You will see some stairs and there are usually people climbing there.

This route continues on to many other routes, and you can access various peaks/ destinations from here (we started the Table Mountain hike from here too, for the views ๐Ÿ˜œ). The hike to Camps Bay is easy for anyone though.

To access this, you will continue on the general Pipe Track route (it’s literally just straight along the designated path) until you reach the Kasteelport junction, where you will need to take a right downwards.

๐‡๐ข๐ค๐ž ๐ž๐ง๐: Then, you will reach a jeep track route at the bottom where you will again take a right. The final turn will be a left, going downwards towards Camps Bay.

Climb up the many rocks along the way and witness breathtaking scenery. The hike should take you approximately 1.5 – 2 hours depending on the stops you take and your pace.
