Back with another fun activity to do in Cape Town! Did you know you can get A FREE 1 hour of cycling on your birthday? See more here!
How Much Does Up Cycles Cape Town Cost?
Cycling is a fun way to explore Cape Town and the city centre. The famous @upcycles team offer great rates to rent a bike at Sea Point or the V&A Waterfront, for as low as R90 for 1 hour, which is plenty actually. You can also return the bike to any of their locations, not necessarily the one you picked up from 😎
Renting a Bike with Up Cycles Cape Town
If you pick Sea Point, you will find yourself at the promenade with several other people walking, exercising, scootering and maybe cycling like yourself. If you are a beginner cyclist, it can be a bit difficult to manage manoeuvring your bike with many people around you. Instead, we recommend cycling at V&A, where there are fewer people and the dedicated lanes makes it less overwhelming.
Regardless of where you choose to cycle, you will have lots of options to enjoy. Up Cycles offers “dutch styled” bicycles, where you pedal to go forward and back pedal to stop. Alternatively, you could rent electric bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes and get a baby carrier too if you have a young one. Check out their website for more information on costing and how you can make reservations.
