Let’s be honest, there’s always space for dessert. Whether you’re the kind of person who scouts the dessert menu before your main course even arrives, or you just want a little sweet something to end your adventure-filled day, dessert Cape Town has you covered.

We’ve rounded up our current go-to dessert spots, and honestly… it’s hard to pick a favourite. Try them all and let us know which one made your tastebuds dance.

1. Lindt Chocolate Boutique

Not only is this place heaven for chocolate lovers, but have you tried their ice cream? Smooth, rich, and topped with signature Lindt sauces and truffles. You can even create your own combo. It’s indulgence in a cone.

2. Dinky Donuts

Tiny, warm, sugary clouds of joy. You’ll usually find them at popular weekend markets like Oranjezicht or Century City. Pro tip: ask for a mix of cinnamon and chocolate drizzle!

3. Damascus – Long Street

You need to try their Nutella & banana waffles with ice cream. Warm, gooey, crunchy, cold—all at once. And the portions are great for sharing… or not 😉

4. Coco Safar

This one’s for the croissant snobs. Their classic and filled croissants are buttery perfection, with flavours like pistachio, chocolate, and raspberry. Add one of their botanical lattes, and you’ve got an elite dessert date.

5. Sweet Revenge

Their waffles are next level! Whether you like them overloaded or simple with just syrup and cream, Sweet Revenge delivers every single time. The space is also super cosy, perfect for catch-ups.

6. The Inside Scoop

When you want gelato with a twist. Their flavours are rich, seasonal, and sooo comforting. Plus, they often do cool new flavours you can’t say no to.

7. Swan Café

Crêpes so good, you won’t want to share. The vibe is French-chic, the service is friendly, and the banana nutella crêpe with whipped cream? Absolute magic.

8. Bubble Waffle

One of the best-value sweet stops! R10 for a scoop of ice cream or R40 for a full bubble waffle creation, perfect for a quick sugar fix. The waffles are crispy, chewy, and topped to your heart’s content.

9. The Cookie Co

Cookies that are chunky, gooey, and made for the gram. If you love a classic choc chip or something more extra like Oreo-stuffed red velvet, this is your spot. (Pro tip: warm them up before eating!)

10. Dessert Spot #10: Dip and Dip

If you’re looking for chocolate heaven, this is your spot. They’ve got a ton of extremely decadent options, and we recommend sharing a portion for your first time. You’ll also need a bottle of (sparkling) water to go with it, because they don’t compromise on the richness.

There’s always room for one more, and we’re on the lookout! Know a spot that deserves the 11th spot on our list? Send us a DM or tag us @afor_adventures: we love discovering new favourites.
