𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲: If you are in the mood to have authentic Iranian food in Cape Town, there is no better place than the Persian Peacock. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with an atmosphere replicating the country’s culture with intricate details along every wall and crevice. The staff and owners were friendly and welcoming, providing us with top notch service throughout our meal. We were feeling especially picky that day, and they didn’t make us feel like it was a problem at all! Our waiter took the time to even explain all the different dishes we were considering and give his recommendations 🥺 They definitely know their stuff!

𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬: Then of course, the food. The food is scrumptious and we enjoyed every bite of it. We had the falafel plate for the starters (du-uh) and you KNOW you can never go wrong with that. The two main dishes we chose were the Bakhtari Kebab, which is a combination of roasted chicken and mutton, and the Kebab Koobideh, which is a signature Persian meat dish with ground lamb with grated onions and spices.

For drinks, S had the Sekanjebin, which was refreshing and tasty for a nice warm summer day while A went for a boring and safe old lemonade 🍋 . The Sekanjabin is AMAZING and you must order it!

We finished our meal with the Baklava for dessert, which like everything else, was authentic and tasty 🤤

You can expect to spend R200-R300 depending on what combination of meals you take.
