Looking for accommodation in Caledon? Read on. When most people think about Caledon, they immediately think about the famous hot springs. Every winter, visitors make their way to the Overberg town to enjoy the warm baths, cosy weather and slower pace of life. On a recent visit, however, we discovered another reason to spend a weekend in Caledon.

Tucked away in a quiet part of town is Caledon Grace Guest House, a former family home that has been transformed into a charming guest house surrounded by gardens and greenery.

The property offers five en-suite bedrooms, each decorated with a distinct vintage style that complements the character of the house.

During our stay, we chose the Vintage Room, which overlooks the garden and comes with a spacious bathroom and comfortable furnishings. It felt like the kind of room designed to encourage guests to slow down and enjoy their surroundings.

What we appreciated most about the guest house was the atmosphere. The gardens create a sense of tranquillity that is easy to forget when you are rushing through daily life. Combined with the peaceful setting of the Overberg, it makes for a genuinely relaxing stay.

Accommodation in Caledon

Inside, guests have access to several shared spaces, including a cosy lounge complete with a fireplace and piano. There are also board games available, making it easy to spend an afternoon indoors when the weather turns cold.

Families are also well catered for, with a dedicated children’s play area and outdoor braai facilities available for guests to use.

Another advantage is the location.

The town centre is within walking distance, while the famous Caledon hot springs are only a short five-minute drive away. This makes it easy to enjoy the main attractions without sacrificing peace and quiet.

Breakfast is included with every stay, and the guest house caters for a variety of dietary requirements, making mornings one less thing to worry about.

If you are planning a winter getaway, it is also worth keeping an eye out for their seasonal specials, which typically run during the colder months.

Winter remains our favourite time to visit Caledon. There is something special about spending the day soaking in the hot springs before returning to a warm guest house and settling in beside a fireplace.

For travellers looking for comfortable accommodation in Caledon that offers character, convenience and a relaxing atmosphere, Caledon Grace Guest House is well worth considering.
