Craving a Turkish breakfast Cape Town? Our two favourite things, breakfast and a warm, cosy atmosphere, came together recently during our visit to Florentin. And now, they’re offering a R99 breakfast special on weekdays! Watch here.
Turkish breakfast Cape Town
The atmosphere totally blew us away and we just couldn’t get over how beautiful the place looks. The soft lighting mixed with all the different colours throughout the restaurant creates this really inviting space that makes you want to stay for hours.
But let’s get to what you really want to know about – the food! We ordered the Turkish eggs and Shakshuka, plus we tried the Lahmacun flatbread and some crispy potatoes.
Honestly, everything was amazing. The shakshuka was baked in the oven just right and those Turkish eggs with the yogurt were so creamy they practically dissolved on our tongues with each mouthful.
The Lahmacun was also such a good choice. We’ve never really been into flatbreads before, but this one had such a great mix of veggies, meat and a ton of other flavor, that we can say our minds have been changed. Oh and those potatoes were the perfect addition to round out the meal. So crispy but SO fluffy inside 🤤
They also cater to halaal diners, getting all their meat from certified halaal suppliers. Save this for your next meal!
