Shift Espresso Canal Walk is launching PASTAS! We got an exclusive preview and we were thoroughly impressed. These will be available every weeknight for dinner, and you’ve got to try them. Look here. They’re based at Canal Walk, in Cape Town and serve up dishes that’ll stick with you for days afterwards.

We tried their Chicken Schnitzel and Prego roll for our mains. For drinks, we had the Raspberry & Mango smoothie and the Strawberry Daiquiri.

We loved everything we had and honestly just want to head back right away! While they have sufficient mocktail options, they also go out of their way to take requests and we love that! It shows that their customers are truly valued from the minute they step in.

The Spicy Arrabbiata has this fiery tomato base; the Fungi Alfredo is this rich creamy mushroom dish, and the Tuscan Cream comes with fresh basil pesto and roasted cherry tomatoes. I mean, who isn’t craving pasta when it’s cold outside?

And what’s more, the Shift Espresso kitchen makes FRESH PASTA, and it hits exactly the right spot – both for your stomach and your soul. The Spicy Arrabbiata was our top pick, but we’d definitely suggest the Fungi Alfredo and Tuscan Cream too, depending on what you’re in the mood for.

Shift Espresso gets brownie points from us for offering an ambience and decor that is absolutely gorgeous. The chairs are really comfortable, the lighting is cozy and inviting. The team working there is also incredibly welcoming and always ready to help you out.

Sooo why not skip the weekday blues by visiting Shift Espresso and trying their special winter menu?
