Saleha, the discoverer in our relationship, found the @vergelegen_wine_estate , a farm estate located about 45 minutes from Cape Town, right before Gordon’s Bay. Our favorite day adventures are visiting farms and exploring their spaces, so we thought we’d visit them – and we were amazed!

They have a map with a guided walk across the estate as you cross bridges, forests, standalone houses built 100+ years ago, and flowers that are mesmerizing to see.

If you are like Aliasgher and enjoy maps, the exploration was lekker. We also walked by the river, where they serve picnics if you have made a booking, and the view was beautiful.

A lot of the structures built are architectural beauties with a rich history that you can explore by asking or reading informational placards.

Whether it’s a picnic, a brunch, a walk around the farm, or just taking in the beautiful nature, Vergelegen has it all for you. They primarily function as a wine estate, and if you want wine tasting, this is a good option to explore as well. We recommend wearing your best walking shoes as your feet will be doing a lot of work to help you access all the beauties of the estate 😇
