The December break may be over, but we are already dreaming about our next escape. If you are anything like us and always planning the next trip, you might be wondering where to stay Knysna. This charming town along the Garden Route is easy to reach by road or flight and offers a range of accommodation options for a relaxing getaway.

Knysna has a way of slowing you down. Between the lagoon views, forested surroundings and relaxed pace, it is the kind of place that feels like a real break from everyday life.

If you are looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay, we always recommend 47th on Howard in Knysna. This boutique guest house is tucked away in a quiet residential area, making it ideal if you want a peaceful stay while still being close to everything.

What we love most about 47th on Howard is the balance it offers. It is close enough to the Knysna town centre, restaurants and popular attractions, but far enough away to avoid traffic and noise. It has become our go to accommodation whenever we visit Knysna.

The rooms at 47th on Howard are all en suite and generously sized. Some rooms include a bathtub, while others offer a spacious shower. Our personal favourite is the King room, which is incredibly spacious and comes with a beautiful view that makes mornings feel extra special.

Breakfast is included in the stay and is prepared by the local team. They take your requests and prepare the meal based on your preference. The amenities at the guest house really elevate the experience. There is a large swimming pool that is ideal for a refreshing dip or simply lounging around with a book.

There is also a braai area and a comfortable sitting room that works perfectly for relaxed evenings. Whether it is a late movie night or a casual game with friends or family, the space feels warm and welcoming.

A special mention has to go to the host, who consistently makes every stay memorable. She is always friendly, attentive and willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel at home. Her team is equally kind and helpful, which adds to the overall sense of ease and comfort during your stay.
