Quickly becoming a must-see in Cape Town, Zeitz MOCAA Cape Town offers African citizens free entry during their birthday month; a deal no one can resist! You can also get free entry on a Wednesday morning 😜
Zeitz MOCAA Cape Town
@zeitzmocaa is the largest museum dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. Watch here.
Wondering what contemporary art is? It’s the art of today, created by artists responding to some of the world’s most pressing issues. The museum spans multiple floors, featuring both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Located at the iconic V&A Waterfront, you’ll find yourself climbing stairs and taking lifts to explore each gallery. We recommend setting aside at least 3 hours to fully experience all the exhibitions.
Bonus: Zeitz MOCAA is wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the art.
Though the regular entry fee is R250 per person, a bit steeper than other South African museums, it’s worth noting that Zeitz MOCAA is a non-profit.
Your ticket helps support their mission of promoting contemporary African art, and there’s so many wonderful pieces on display.
