A little sweet, a little silly, and the perfect way to spend golden hour together. If you’re looking for a cute, easy, and affordable date night idea, this combo hits all the right notes; coffee + dessert (we had it at Mischu Coffee), followed by a round of mini golf at Putt Putt SA in Sea Point. It’s budget-friendly, low effort, and leaves you with core memories and sunset views to match.

Date Night Idea

Start Date Night With Coffee & Games at Mischu

We kicked things off at Mischu Coffee in Sea Point, where the vibe is always mellow and warm. Besides their great coffee and sweet treats, they’ve got a few board games and puzzles lying around, which honestly made the whole experience feel extra playful and relaxed.

Pro tip: Order a slice of cake or a sweet pastry to share.

Just a short walk away is Putt-Putt SA, where for less than R100 total, you can play a full round of mini golf together. Yes, that’s both of you for under R100! The course is simple but fun, with just enough of a challenge to spark some friendly competition. You’ll laugh at missed shots, celebrate hole-in-ones (or twos or threes 😅), and probably take way too many videos of each other.

Bonus: Go around sunset time, and you’ll get those magical Sea Point skies as your backdrop 😍

Whether you’re planning a midweek pick-me-up, a budget-friendly weekend date, or just something different from the usual dinner routine, this little combo is a winner. It’s simple. It’s sweet. And most importantly, it’s fun without the fuss.
