Because life’s too short to settle for bad pizza 🍕If you’d like to watch instead of read, click here. If you’re in the mood for authentic, wood fired pizza Cape Town that melts in your mouth and hits every time, then Ciao Pizza needs to be on your radar. Whether you’re a local or planning your next foodie adventure in Cape Town, this fully halaal pizzeria is an absolute win.

What’s the Deal with this Wood-Fired Pizza?

Ciao Pizza is all about that Italian-meets-Mzansi charm. Quality ingredients, great flavours, and a cosy space that smells like heaven as soon as you walk in. We visited their Blouberg branch, which is conveniently located near the beach (read: perfect for a pre- or post-pizza stroll) and surrounded by a few other gems too. They’ve also got a branch in the CBD.

What We Ordered (And Loved)

We went in hungry and left happy. Here’s what made our shortlist:

  • Pepperoni Pizza – Crisp base, punchy flavour, and perfectly balanced cheese-to-sauce ratio
  • Salsiccia Calzone – Filled with beef sausages, creamy onions, and mushrooms. Honestly? The ultimate comfort food.
  • Bubblegum Frappe Milkshake – Refreshing, sweet, and perfect to cool things down after all that melted cheese 😅
