If you’re looking for the best Indian restaurant in Cape Town, then Moksh Indian Restaurant might just be your next favourite spot. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported into a space filled with rich aromas, warm hospitality, and an ambience that really sets the tone for what’s to come.

Best Indian Restaurant in Cape Town Review

What We Loved

Honestly… everything. The food is the real star here, and it absolutely delivers on flavour. Here’s what we tried:

  • Paneer butter masala
  • Vegetable korma
  • Chicken tawa masala (our ABSOLUTE favourite 👀)
  • Crispy onion bhajia (for starters)

Each dish was packed with a beautiful blend of spices and rich flavours. The chicken tawa masala stood out the most. It was bold, comforting, and something we’d go back for without hesitation.

Spice Level Tip

Even if you enjoy spicy food, we’d recommend going for medium spice. The reason is that when it gets too hot, it can actually overpower the flavour of the curry. And trust us, you don’t want to miss that depth.

What Could Have Been Better

If we had to pick something, it would be the seating. The inside seating area is definitely more comfortable than the tables closer to the door, so we’d recommend asking for a spot inside if you can.

Value for Money

5/5. At around R250 per person, the portions are generous enough that you’ll likely have leftovers, which honestly just makes the experience even better the next day 😅

Beyond the food, the experience was elevated by attentive and friendly staff, which always makes a difference. Between the quality of the dishes, portion sizes, and overall atmosphere, Moksh Indian Restaurant is easily one of the top spots for Indian cuisine in the city.

Is Moksh Worth It?

Definitely. If you’re craving flavour-packed curries, freshly made naans, and a comforting dining experience, this is one place you don’t want to skip.

And the best part is that Moksh offers incredible value for money, especially if you have the Entertainer app (you can get B1G1 free on curries). So whether you’re a seasoned Indian food lover or just looking to try something new, Moksh is the perfect spot for a truly enchanting dining experience. Head on over and indulge in the magic for yourself, and let us know what you think!
