Unpopular opinion? πŸ‘€ We are not like em other bloggers, we are very mindful of telling the truth when reviewing places 😜The biggest draw of Utopia Cape Town is its stunning location, offering 360-degree skyline views of the city.

Utopia Cape Town

You can choose your preferred view, whether it’s Bo-Kaap, the harbour, or the city. If you’re coming for the views, we recommend sitting by the harbour during the day and opting for city views at night.

While the views are near perfect, the food leaves much to be desired given the cost.

We had the Sticky Gochujang chicken as a starter and the Lamb Shank + Sirloin Steak for the mains. The meals didn’t have the rich taste that you’d expect from a top-tier restaurant.

We mostly had a good experience with their service, which comes at an instant service charge of 10% on the bill even though we were only a party of 2.

However, we did have a minor issue – our waiter forgot to pack the mash and veggies from the lamb shank, a lot of which was still on the plate. The manager was apologetic about this when we raised the issue.

Utopia is halaal-friendly and is worth checking out if you want to see the views. But when we shared our experience on our stories, many of you echoed the same sentiments about the qualityΒ ofΒ theΒ food.

Is this on your list of restaurants to go to?
