We aren’t vegans, and we went to the Vegan Goods Market Cape Town. Here is our experience. And, the next one is this Sunday! In short, we loved it and can’t wait to visit again. A bunch of things stood out for us.

Vegan Goods Market Cape Town

The food was lekker and really brought in some creativity. We had a pizza from @sweettatas that had a sweet potato base and it was so, so tasty. The chickpea curry from @sadya_cpt Taste of Kerala was also yummy and her samosas were just the snack we were craving. We also got a really balanced meal with jollof rice, veggies and curry.

We couldn’t try other places because this was already so much food, but you will definitely be spoilt for choice when visiting. We also loved the community vibe as you enter the market. People are super friendly, from those visiting to the shop vendors.

The vendors have so much to offer, and they are always willing to explain to you what they are providing. Again, you are spoilt for choice. From previously loved clothes, to bath and body stuff to jewellery to nifty things that you need everyday, it’s all there.

Oh there is dessert too, which is so mouth-watering.

The vegan market is an initiative run by enthusiastic people who care about bringing this community together. It takes place every month on a Sunday, 10 am to 3 pm, and they are located on The Range in Tokai.
