Here’s why Conscious Carnivores Cape Town remains a strong contender for Cape Town’s best burger. Watch here, and if you’d like our review of their other menu items, read here.

Conscious Carnivores Cape Town

During our second visit in their new space, we had the Buffalo Chicken Burger (takeaway), the Pepper Crusted Fillet burger and the OG Wagyu burger. And guys, O M G!

Every bite transcends you to the happy place that the best burgers do and our kudos to their team for always giving the Cape Town community a taste of good burgers.

We aren’t choosing a winner here yet because there is no way to really compare any of these burgers without bias, and we suggest visiting Conscious Carnivores 3 times to try all three burgers. Or the group-sharing option will also do if you are low on budget πŸ™‚ If we ABSOLUTELY had to, Saleha LOVED the pepper crusted fillet burger, and Aliasgher genuinely couldn’t decide haha

The Buffalo Chicken Burger, which we had for takeaway in the cutest packaging, was spicy but hit just the right spot for a fried chicken + coleslaw combo. In the Pepper Crusted Fillet burger, the toum was heavenly and the taste was so different, and the OG Wagyu burger… Well, it’s remained their OG burger for good reason 😍

We also LOVED the half onion rings and half chips option on the menu – why doesn’t everyone do this?

A special mention goes to their Spanish Latte for hands-down being our favourite cold coffee in Cape Town. The balance struck between coffee, milk and cold ice is just right – it doesn’t dilute it and still gives you the perfect caffeine dose. Oh, and their takeaway mug is lekker, it has a spout cover that clips back into another slot while you drink the coffee. Design and taste; perfect combo!

Have you visited Conscious Carnivores since their reopening? What’s your favourite burger?
